Rain Forests Rain-Forest-Frog

Tune: Mary Had a Little Lamb

Rain forests have four layers,
Four layers, four layers,
Name them now: bottom to top,
The rain forrest layers!

Forest floor is in deep shade,
Leaves and roots, coat the ground,
Debris from trees covers earth,
Dense, thick growth is found here!

The understory rises up,
Sixty feet, from the ground,
Vines and bushes, trunks of trees,
All grow through this layer!

Canopy catches most sun,
Home for plants and animals,
Shelter, food and light are found,
It is filled with life here!

Emergent layer is on top,
Giant trees, stretch up high,
Few trees reach up to this height,
You can see the sky here!

Rain forests have four layers,
Four layers, four layers,
Name them now: bottom to top,
The rain forrest layers!
