Herbivores, Carnivores, Omnivores

This song is a great introduction or review to herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores. As a review activity, try passing out pictures of various animals. While singing the song, have students stand when their type of animal is mentioned. As an enrichment activity add versus which describe more about specific animals and what they eat.

Tune: Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

Herbivores eat only plants,
Leaves, fruit, grasses, and eggplant!
Carnivores eat only meat,
Bugs and poultry are a treat!
