Paragraphs Have Three Parts

Tune: Skip to My Lou

Paragraphs have three parts.
Indent before you start.
Topic sentence comes first.
It states the main idea.

Next body sentences,
Give supporting details.
Restate main idea,
Wrap up with a conclusion.

*To make this song fit the syllable pattern, break up the words in the first two lines as follows:

Par-a-graphs have three parts.
In-dent before you start.
