Music Accompaniment

When I write songs, I always try to piggyback songs that I think all students and teachers will know. My main focus when singing in the classroom is to promote fluency and content learning, not to take time to learn a new song. I have never used accompaniment when singing with students, mostly because I hate trying to find the track on the cd or the correct link on the computer. Now, that being said, there are many times when I’m off key, but fortunately (or unfortunately for those listening to my singing) I’m not self-conscious around kids.

I’m sure some of you would like to have music to sing with at times, and I came across a website called Kids Sing, Garden of Songs that has the music to many of the songs that I use here. I hope it is helpful. If you have any music accompaniment websites you like to use, let me know! Happy singing!
